Alyssa Milano "gets" it !
A post on "Jurklepic.com" highlighted the ups and downs of celebrity influence on Twitter. One of the highlights of the article was the comment on Alyssa Milano.
Alyssa Milano: You rock girl! You mobilized a campaign to raise money to support the My Charity: Water clean water project in Ethiopia by asking your Twitter followers to make a donation and spread the word through Twitter and Facebook. You raised $92,568 to help bring clean water to 4,628 people and 928 families in 19 communities. I definitely call you a social influencer because of your ability to effect change for those nineteen communities.

Here are the challenges for the #50Things Challenge (updated daily)
Pass on a book you've enjoyed. Write a note saying what you enjoyed and instruct the next "owner" to pass it on after they're done #50things
Instead of "googling" when searching - use Good Search and these guys will make a donation to Spreading Joy.
Donate gently used dvd's, vhs tapes and video games - I'm sure Spreading Joy can find those that will love to use them.
Be Positive today - with the depressing economy, bills falling behind - this can really be tough, but it will encourage those around you and in the process bring joy to yourself.
Donate expired coupons to the troops overseas.
